We are currently holding a young adult Alpha on Sunday mornings from 9:45-1045. Love seeing young people becoming equipped to reach out to their friends.

An excellent thought provoking talk for this Good Friday. If you can't listen today, save this for later. Amy shares research that strongly supports the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and encourages everyone to "read the Gospels again as an adult, for yourself, and examine the context of these claims...what if what the gospels claim happened is actually true? It would make an enormous difference..."

I think this must be a timely message for the church. I have been involved in 3 conversations this week about what Nicki is talking about here, and now it has come up in an online class discussion. Please listen.

Today is the beginning of Lent, the 40 days that lead up to Easter. Many Christians practice a season of self-denial and sacrifice as they seek to draw closer to the Lord. This is a simple but potentially powerful challenge for us this year. Would you join me? Learn to pray 1 minute at a time.

Despite the concern raised I did find some encouraging things here, such as: "...practicing Christian millennials have the strongest beliefs in the Bible and read it more than any other generation: 87 percent do so multiple times a week, according to a 2016 Barna survey on behalf of the American Bible Society (ABS)." Any thoughts?

Join with believers all around the world this week praying for the church, the Kingdom of God among us, to grow and be a light to those in darkness.

Every Monday morning for the past few months I have been watching the Alpha Film Series episode we would be showing at Alpha the following Sunday, while doing some desk work. Even though we had our last Alpha two weeks ago, I found myself wanting to watch an Alpha talk Monday while doing said desk work. And I remembered this talk on the Bible by Amy Orr-Ewing that we watched in 2015.....

Sunday we had our Alpha Celebration Dinner complete with a delicious harvest dinner prepared by our Alpha Dinner Team and yummy desserts brought by small group hosts & helpers. We had a great Alpha season!
